Areas of expertise

We offer a variety of care options from short- and long-term residential care. We constantly strive to provide a consistent and high-quality service. We do this through our staff. We recruit motivated and compassionate people, then develop, manage and invest in their training so that they not only do an excellent job but love their jobs, too. This makes happier homes for the people we support.

Why us

We believe every one of the individuals we support deserves dignity, choice and independence. For us, recognising individuality means listening to what people tell us and ensuring every day is thoroughly enjoyable. Our approach includes jointly written care plans designed to help us learn about personal likes and dislikes as well as helping to set care and rehabilitative goals encouraging independence. We help the people we support keep up community links and welcome those visits from family and friends that can be so important.

Services

Dementia Care

Individuals living with dementia may require extra, or specialised care and support, especially as their symptoms develop over time. People with dementia are likely to experience memory loss and find it difficult making sense of their physical surroundings. We know these symptoms can cause distress and result in difficulty locating specific areas or specific rooms, which is why our care home environments are designed to navigate around more easily and reduce distress.

Dementia care accommodates for these specific needs when nursing or residential care is not enough, with a focus on improving well-being and assisting people to continue living a fulfilled life with activities they love.

Residential Care

Residential care is 24-hour, short or long-term care offered in a care home. Predominantly, residential care homes are designed for low physical health care needs, who need considerable assistance with day-to-day tasks.

Residential care homes offer a safe place for people, who are looked after according to their needs, such as help with washing, mobility and medication. They're designed to be homely, with the opportunity to take up hobbies, enjoy regular activities, and facilitate people in living meaningful lives.

Residential carers ensure that residents always have someone on hand to help with daily life activities. Each individual is treated as such, and has a tailored care plan inclusive of their individual dietary requirements, hobbies and life stories. Care homes are very much a community within themselves, and the opportunities for socialisation and group activities are hugely valuable in helping to combat loneliness.

Families of residents can also have peace of mind that their loved one is well cared for, and in a sociable and enriching environment.

Testimonials

25/6/24

I am always impressed with the leadership at Wellfield and Henley house care homes, Manager and deputies of both homes always engage with MDT members and prove to be an asset to the social care sector.  Their care and advocacy for their residents shine through in their actions and how they communicate about their residents ensuring their needs are met is evident.  Staff are polite and welcoming, the cleanliness of both homes is of a good standard,  care staff always appear compassionate.

Many Thanks

Sam and Jackie deputy and manager are both wonderful and go above and beyond for their residents and in supporting their staff. Always considering what is in the best interest of each individual and involving families and relevant others in providing a multidisciplinary approach to care.
Always embracing training opportunities to enhance providing excellent care for their residents in a warm, homely environment.

My father in law has been a resident at Wellfield for over 2 years and in that time he has received nothing but the best of care. Thank you to all the management and staff for your ongoing dedication and hard work.

Excellent staff, home from home

My mum is a resident at Henley House, from the moment she stepped through the doors, she was greeted with warmth and kindness by Jackie and her team.  The staff's dedication to providing exceptional care and support is evident in every interaction.  Jackie is a fantastic Manager, working around the clock where nothing is ever too much trouble and ensuring that the residents receive the best possible care.  The staff ensured that my mum's living space was personalised in order for her to feel settled, allowing her to bring her own furniture and decorate her room however she wanted, creating a homely atmosphere.

One of the standout qualities of the staff is their genuine compassion and empathy.  They take the time to listen not only to the residents but family members too, treating everyone with respect and dignity. It is evident that they truly care about the well-being of each individual.

Henley House is a shining example of a care home with exceptional and supportive staff. Their dedication, compassion, and professionalism create an environment where my mum feels valued, safe, and cared for.  I highly recommend Henley House to anyone seeking a place where their loved ones can receive the highest quality of care and support.

My mum is at Henley House, she is well cared for with the new manager and her staff. The care is excellent and due to new carpets and painting the home looks so much nicer, manager and staff are very friendly and always on hand if you have a problem. This is the home i would definitely recommend as my mums care is the best for her and others like her here. They ensure her safety and knowing there is someone there all the time is definitely a huge relief
